Neighbourhood
14th arrondissement of Paris
Picasso, Giacometti, Modigliani and Brâncuși set up their studios just a few steps away. Hemingway, Breton, Gide, Aragon, Wilde, sought inspiration here.
The Denfert-Rochereau district remains marked, beyond the beautiful Art Nouveau and Art Deco facades, by this wildly creative period. As well as the impressive Lion de Belfort, the Catacombs and the Army Museum, literally at the foot of the hotel, you'll find the Fondation Cartier and the Institut Giacometti nearby, as well as the Paris Observatory. Behind it, rue Daguerre, which is pedestrianised on Sundays, is a veritable village, with its shops, restaurants, cafés and daily market.
Finally, the Jardin du Luxembourg, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Arc de Triomphe, Les Invalides and the Champs-de-Mars are just a few minutes away by metro, located at the foot of the hotel. The brasseries, theatres and cinemas of Montparnasse are also just a ten-minute walk away...
